Erasmus Blog: Nice, France

On the 26th of May 2024 Ms. Burke, Ms. Mc Cabe, Ms. Maher Ms Freeley, Ms Scully and Helena set off to Nice. We attended an Erasmus course based on Happy schools and positive education. The aim of this course was to promote well-being and happiness in a holistic way in the classroom and throughout the whole school community. Natalie the course facilitator was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She ensured that each and everyone of us had a positive experience and learned about the historical and cultural aspects surrounding Nice. As part of the course, we were given the opportunity to go on a sight-seeing cruise around Nice. It was a pleasant experience and was lovely to be able to chat to the other teachers outside the classroom walls. We worked with a variety of other teachers from different countries and types of schools. Some were from Germany, Romania and Norway. The course was well balanced, and we learned a lot through collaboration, active learning and facilitator led discussions. It was a brilliantly organised trip. Ms. Ruane played a massive part in this and we are all very grateful to her for all her hard work and the organisation she put into this trip.
